Bob "Renzi" Rencewicz began Renzi's Cigars on a whim on June 1st, 1998, as a unique variety store. At the time, he had recently sold a very successful business, and was looking for an outlet for his entrepreneurial spirit. He noticed a vacancy at the local Springside Commons Plaza, and quickly signed a lease, even though he had no idea what he was going to do with the space.

He offered everything from hand-dipped chocolates, gourmet coffee, and Italian cookies, to greeting cards. At Bob's son Michael's suggestion, he added a single humidor cabinet, offering a small selection of premium cigars. It quickly became evident that what the people wanted were more and better cigars, and less of all that other stuff.

In 2000, Bob brought Natalie aboard as a manager. Her best attributes were that she was a connoisseur, and a professional "nudge." Together, they developed a logo, a marketing plan, and overhauled the look of the shop with a more cohesive tobacconist theme.

Over the years, they added to the now extensive cigar menu, brought in every type and style of smoking accessories they could get their hands on, added pipes and hookahs, and roll-your-own accoutrements. They kept the Green Mountain Coffee as well, and got rid of all the extraneous products.

Today, Renzi's provides a list of over 450 premium imported cigars, dozens of humidors, cutters, lighters, and all the attending toys for grown-ups.
